TAIPEI, Taiwan - The Taipei 2016 Smart City Summit and Expo began yesterday at the Nangang Exhibition Center. As a member of the green supply chain, Taiwanese environmental metal stripper and recycling technology provider, Uwin Nanotech. Co. Ltd, exhibited their green metal stripper technology which assists cities in reusing electronic waste.

Uwin Nanotech’s main exhibition product is also their most well known environmental gold stripping (Cyanide Free) technology – the UW700, and it is capable of completely stripping and collecting all of the gold from electronic waste without harming the environment or humans and also not harming the substrates. This technology is an important solution for cities when handling electronic waste.

Uwin Nanotech General Director Kenny Hsu stated that precious metal recycling is both the final stop in the industrial supply chain and an important link.

He pointed out that smart cities are bound to face recycling problems for all of the electronic products and 3C devices used by people; consequently, environmental metal recycling technology is extremely important for cities and industries.

At present the smart cities developing around the globe all mainly use IoT technology, including comprehensive mobile networks, environmental monitoring, and mobile payment and smart care. As these trends are set into action, the amount of upgraded electronic products and smart devices will also increase.
